Wilhemina Ford has spent over 35 years working with middle and high school students, focusing on college and career readiness. She dedicated 25 years to the YMCA of Central, where she served as an Executive Director until her retirement in June 2019.

Since retiring, Wilhemina has continued to leverage her professional skills to support community organizations and schools serving young people. Her services include coordinating college tours, fundraising, and establishing partnerships and collaborations to support each community entity. She also recruits and coordinates a network of volunteers called “Dream Catchers,” who have become a major asset to the schools she serves.

Wilhemina has one son, James, a daughter-in-law, Danielle, and is the proud Glam-ma to Trinity (10 years) and Kingston (3 years). Her personal motto is, “God did not call us to be great but faithful.”
